Stokes-Hodges Kia of Augusta makes major mask donation to burn center

October 5, 2020

Stokes-Hodges Auto Group has redefined gracious giving by donating face shields to local healthcare workers at Burn and Reconstructive Centers of America.

Kia Motors of North America repurposed their factory in West Point, GA, to make face shields to help protect those on the frontlines of the Covid-19 pandemic. The face shields were given to different Kia dealerships to distribute as the need for them arose. Greg Hodges, Platform Manager with Stokes Hodges Auto Group said he was thrilled to be able to help the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital of Augusta.

“From all of us here at Stokes-Hodges Kia of Augusta, we are honored to help protect those on the front line of patient care,” he said. “We wanted to do our part to help our friends and neighbors. With these face shields, we were able to do just that.”

The Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta works to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients by using extra precaution when it comes to possible infection or contamination risks. Our healthcare personnel are equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE) and updated weekly on Covid-19 measures. Before our healthcare professionals or our patients can enter the burn center, they must put on a mask, get their temperature checked, and apply hand sanitizer.

We are thankful for the donations from Stokes-Hodges Auto Group and for the cooperation from our staff and patients during this time.
