WRDW covers tree safety demo: How to prevent Christmas tree fires this holiday season
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Christmas trees are beautiful but you have to be careful. The Augusta Fire Department teamed up with the Burn Center to demonstrate what not to do and help you stay safe. They show the risks electrical sparks have on watered and dry Christmas trees and how quickly each one can catch fire.

WFXG FOX54: Augusta Fire, Burn Center partner up for fire safety demo ahead of holiday season
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) – The Augusta Fire Department partnered up with the Burn and Reconstructive Centers of America to offer up some fire safety tips ahead of the holiday season. On Thursday, they lit a watered and dry Christmas tree on fire outside of Doctors Hospital to demonstrate the risks electrical sparks pose.
