Idaho Falls, ID—Burn and Reconstructive Centers of America’s (BRCA), the nation’s largest system for burn care, Idaho Falls location is now offering telehealth services for burns and wounds for Teton Valley Health (TVH) patients through a new program (TeleBurn).

“As one of the very few burn centers in the northwest, we know how important specialized care is for patients suffering from a traumatic burn or wound injury,” said Dr. Michael Lemon, Medical Director of Surgical Services and Trauma Medical Director at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC). “We are honored to be a part of the new TeleBurn Program and hope that it, in addition to our Burn App, will help more patients achieve the best possible outcomes.”

Burn injuries can be highly traumatic and require expert care from a team of dedicated burn specialists. Providing services at EIRMC, BRCA burn care surgeons and specialists can now expand their reach to support patients at Teton Valley Health, supporting our mission of Healing Patients. Healing Families. Healing Lives.®

The TeleBurn program allows physicians and other clinicians at TVH’s Emergency Room to consult through a secure audio-visual platform directly with a local panel of BRCA burn specialists, including:

  • Tait Olaveson
  • Michael Lemon
  • James Summers
  • Nick Johnson

“Whether you have a critical burn injury or need ongoing outpatient wound and hyperbaric care, our top priorities are to minimize the lasting impact of burn injuries and to get you home and back to normal as soon as possible,” says Dr. Tait Olaveson, Burn Medical Director at EIRMC. “We know the highly specialized care offered through TeleBurn will be extremely valuable to the local community and the quality care patients receive at Teton Valley Health.”

The TeleBurn program provides comprehensive care for both adults and children affected by a wide range of injuries and conditions, including the following:

  • Burns (chemical, electrical, friction/road rash, inhalation and thermal)
