NOVEMBER 12—Burn and Reconstructive Centers of America (BRCA), the country’s largest system for burn care, is pleased to announce two Regional Directors of Outreach to the outreach team. Ashton Brantley has been promoted to Regional Director of Outreach covering the eastern territories of the U.S., and Gavin (Bert) Witherspoon has been promoted to Regional Director of Outreach covering the western territories.
A firefighter paramedic for more than 20 years, Witherspoon originally joined BRCA in July 2020 and brought a unique perspective that served him well in his first role as a Physician and Provider Liaison. With this promotion, Witherspoon will be responsible for the western half of the country, primarily focused on areas surrounding BRCA operations based in Idaho, Nevada and Texas.
“I’m excited to take on this new role,” Witherspoon said. “I hope to bring a collaborative sense of direction, communication and fulfillment to the team.”
Ashton Brantley originally joined BRCA almost five years ago as Outreach Manager and has demonstrated an exceptional ability to build a team and develop strategies for building relationships across BRCA’s national system. As Regional Director of Outreach, Brantley will be responsible for the eastern half of the country, primarily focused on areas surrounding BRCA operations based in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Virginia and South Carolina.
“Since I first came on board almost five years ago, I’ve continually been amazed by my team’s ability to raise awareness for our services and build relationships and trust with community leaders and medical professionals,” Brantley said.
As part of their duties, Brantley and Witherspoon will be responsible for leadership and oversight of outreach strategies and referral relations. They will also be responsible for creative development and execution of strategic outreach activities, tracking initiatives, creating brand awareness, increasing admissions, referral communications and Physician and Provider Liaisons spanning across their territories.
